Plan to do some more scrapping this arvo as well…Love playing in Picassa!  Remember any comments until midnight tonight on either this or yesterdays post will put you in the draw for 20 pieces of patterned paper and 20 pieces of cardstock and i also have 2 other small prizes as well…If you comment yesterday and today that is 2 entries…

Have a great sunday afternoon everyone!

Saturday – Week Recap!

January 16, 2009

Morning everyone…I have decided that I am going to try and do a Week Recap every Saturday…

Well it has def been a busy and eventful fun week…I love going to places with an older child as it is great to see it through their eyes.

On Sunday Jono was dropped off by his mum, dad and 2 sisters…After David’s nap the 3 boys headed over next door for a swim in the pool and then it was BBQ Dinner time and a nice relaxing evening.

On Monday we caught the bus up to Manukau and walked down to Spotlight and then the Warehouse to get some supplies for some projects this week.  It was then back off to Manukau where Jono found some books and a little back pack he just loved called Zac Power and by Thursday had read all of the books.  A few groceries along with a toothbrush that said 9 year old accidently left at home then home for lunch…The afternoon was spent doing some housework while Jono made book marks for his family and then started on his scrapbook.  We then made Macaroni cheese for dinner.

Tuesday we caught the train into town and then a bus and went to Kelly Tarltons.  We had heaps of fun seeing all the fish and the penguins and it was great seeing it through a 9 year olds eyes.  Jono purchased a Fluffy Penguin Keyring who then proceeded to visit everywhere with us for the rest of the week.  Then bus back into town and a train back south.  Richard was working on our back deck and retaining walls at home for the day so picked us up…

Wednesday was a quiet morning and then Richard and Jono headed out to Treasure Island Mini Golf out by Auckland Airport and then dropped me at Manukau in the process to run some erands.  After Jono got home he worked on more on his daily Scrapbook…

Thursday after dropping David at daycare Richard dropped us off in Grafton and we walked through the domain up to the Museum.  We got there early but it was nice to sit on the Museum steps and look out over the city on such a nice day.  Just a hint if you take back packs with you even if they are small you have to hand them in so next time i will be taking a handbag as I had to carry camera and wallet around and was so councsious that i might put them down and forget them….We then spent nearly 2 hours walking around the museum and also went and saw the Sue the T Rex exibit.  Then a bus into town from Parnell and lunch with Richard and then home.

Yesterday Richard dropped us off to Botany Town centre and we got some photos processed at Harvey Normans and then it was off to the Berkley Cinemas at Botany to watch Bolt in 3D…It was great even though we accidently went into the wrong cinema at first during the middle of Madegasga 2 and didn’t realise it wasn’t a preview until i looked at the cinema number on the tickets and quickly checked the number outside…Ooops…Then off grocery shopping and then home.

Richard and David have dropped Jono back in Hamilton this morning.

I have uploaded Piccasa 3 and been having lots of fun working on photos.  Here is a look in pictures of our week.

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone…Just working on housework and will do a little scrapping this afternoon.  Actually looking forward to a week this coming week of nothing planned…David at Daycare and Richard at work and me catching up on everything.

Also just before I go.  On Sunday Night I will be drawing a name out of the hat of people that have left comments this weekend and sending them a prize pack…I have been going through things and have a pack of 20 sheets of cool paper and 20 sheets of cool cardstock to send to the lucky winner.

Well, over the last week my darling husband has been hard at work putting up the following gate with the help of our neighbour…We had been wanting to close off part of the back yard as it was David could run from the back to the front of the property and I wouldn’t know where he was.

They have also been working on retaing walls, boarding up underneath the deck, and the other end of the closed off back yard.  So proud of him and this is something that he normally doesn’t do as he normally works behind a desk or with computers.

Monday Kita was over and we made cupcakes and she just loved decorating them.

Also on Saturday Richard and David brought me some beautiful yellow roses.

This morning our nephew arrived and we have a busy week planned…

Tomorrow – off to Spotlight and the Warehouse and the Libary

Tuesday – possibly Mini Golf with Richard

Wednesday – Musuem

Thursday – Unknown but maybe Kelly Tarltons

Friday – if he is good all week off to he Movies.

We are also going to keep and make a scrapbook of his trip here.  Richard and Jono are currently watching over the hedge and then the 3 boys are off for a swim before we have a BBQ.

I am also working on some OTP projects and also a small project that I am working on for Richard for Valentine’s Day.  I have also been working on some ideas for David’s Birthday Party!

Hope that everyone is having a great weekend.

Ouch it’s hot!

January 8, 2009

I can’t believe how hot it is this afternoon.  Our HRV system is saying that it is 28C in the house and 61 in the roof…Def a dip in the pool for David when he gets home from Daycare.

What have we been up to?  Well Tuesday after dropping David at Daycare we headed out to the Clevedon Cafe for Brunch…It was sooo yummy and thanks Trace for the suggestion…then off for fresh fruit and veges and then home and housework…

Yesterday was just chores around the house, worked on some ideas for David’s Birthday Party.  I can’t belive that my baby is going to be 3 in just over a month. Richard and our neighbour working next door…Last night they also worked on our retaining walls after 7.30 while it was cool!

This morning Grocery Shopping and just enjoyed the lovely coolness in the supermarket…Then we had a visit from the wonderful Louise and Joshie…Louise it was so awesome to see you and thank you so much for the wonderful pressies…I am in Prima & chocolate heaven.

Richard has just got home from buying more wood for even more work that he is doing around the outside of the house…so proud of everything that he is doing.

While it is cool tomorrow morning I am going to get ontop of the house work and then spend the day Scrapping…I have some great ideas in my head…I am also making a Kaiser Castle Album for David’s friend’s 3rd Birthday and also working on some canvass for our bedroom…

Have a great one everyone.

Busy Week coming!

January 4, 2009

Evening everyone, I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend!  I know there are some people out there that can’t believe that it is over already and have to head back to work tomorrow.

Going to be  busy week in our house.  David is back at Daycare tomorrow and truley is so excited and can’t wait.  Tomorrow morning I have Lisa’s daughter over for the morning Baking, then have a pile of scrapping that I am wanting and needing to do tomorrow afternoon.  Tuesday dawns Richard and mine 2nd Wedding Anniversary!  Off our for Brunch and then looking for a Big Boy Bed for David.

Other chores and jobs through out the week and then on Sunday our nephew comes up from Hamilton for 6 nights.  He is a very very cool 9 year old.  We are going to do lots of crafts that he loves, cook, go to the T Rex Exibit at the Musuem, Ferry Rides, Kelly Tarltons and a Boys Day with his uncle that is including Mini Golf.

So this week i will be planning for his visit and also have some gifts to make, a scraproom to totally reorganise and lots of house work. Richard also has this week off and wants to do lots of jobs outside.  He has already been out and purchased supplies to start the first gate/walls around the back of our house.  I will take pics tomorrow.!

Remmeber if you are back at work tomorrow – try and get outside in the sun for lunch as it will totally rejuivnate you!

Firstly just thought I would remind or let everyone know that Harvey Normans have 12c photos until tomorrow.  I went up this morning and got some to Scrap…I am aiming to scrap each day for the next while.  Even if that means only half an hour or so it is still better than nothing.

Secondly I would like to share some photos of David and his Hippo….today I also went out and got some water wings and goggles for him…He loves the goggles and knew exactly what they were for but hasn’t been under yet.

Hopefully the muggyness wears off a bit tonight!

Muggyness & Hippo!

January 2, 2009

Afternoon everyone!  I know everyone in Auckland will agree with me about the Muggyness that we are all expereincing today!  Wow, what a warm night last night was!

Well, we never made it to the beach today as 40 mins before Richard went off call we got a Page so after breakfast headed up to Albany and then had lunch and did some shopping at the mall!

Then home and David having a nap and Richard and I just catching up on some small things.

Hippo?  Well Hippo is a Blow Up Pool Toy for David to sit in and was brought to him at Christmas by Santa and OMG what a blast he and Daddy had with it last night after dinner.  Our neighbour who has a couple of acres next to us and never uses his pool much has said that we can use it when ever and how ever often we like so the boys headed over after dinner last night.  Will take a pic of David with it and post!

The Boys are off for a Boys morning tomorrow – I think David is really craving alone time with Daddy so not sure what they will do but I know they will have fun!  I think I will sit down and do some more scrapping tomorrow morning while they are out.

Lisa’s daughter is coming over on Monday morning for  Baking morning and then on Tuesday it is Mine and Richard’s 2nd Wedding Anniversary and Richard has the week off.  So after we have dropped David at Daycare it will be off out for Brunch somewhere.

Well, must be off and cut some of our Ham on the Bone into Ham Steaks as we are doing those on the BBQ tonight along with Field Mushrooms with a wonderful Capsicum Butter that Richard makes and streaky bacon wrapped Asaparagus, Salad and new potatoes from our neightbour.  Before I do dash though our nearly 3 year old has decided that dining alfresco for dinner is just the best and off he goes and sets the table for us outside each night.

Have a great night!

Happy New Year Everyone!

January 1, 2009

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and that the New Year brings everything that you all want.

I thought I would start the year with a new Blog Post and a new Banner.  A nice bright Blog Banner.  Now this year I have set myself a few Resolutions that I really truley want to keep.

I want to be more organized in life and myself as well.  I want to become healther and get down to my goal weight.  This will take me a very very long time but I know that I can do it.  Richard and I are taking the journey together.

I have picked 2 words for myself this year.  One is Organized and the other is Preserve.  Now Preserve is in 2 senses.  1 is that I want to scrap more of everyday life and everyday things that happen and scrap more for myself and family and friends.  The 2nd way is that I am really getting into making preserves and have started by making 3 jars of Pickled Cucumbers and can’t wait to do more.

We have been out to visit friends this morning and David loved playing in the bucket of water and containers that she set up for him and devouring his way through the amazing morning tea spread that she set out for us.

We are off out to the beach tomorrow and David wants to take Dadda on a train so we will do that over the weekend sometime.

Thank you to every for being amazing friends and for visiting my blog and for the support!

Cleaning Day!

December 7, 2008

Today is a Cleaning day for me!  I am trying to get more and more organised!  I already have 2 loads of washing on the line with another load in the washing machine!  Our bed made and tidied just need to vacumn and then do all 3 bathrooms and then vacumn and a rough tidy of David’s room and then hit the open plan dining, living and kitchen areas!

This past weekend was great!  After a Pankcake breakfast on Saturday morning the 3 of us headed out to Botany and went to the Warehouse and got Sparemint leaves and a few other things, T&T for more shorts for David.  With all this wonderful weather Daycare are doing lots of water play and so we have to send 2-3 changes of clothes each day!  Then it was off to Harvey Normans to pick up David’s Christmas Photo! I am going to do a layout and then upload that to my blog and you will all see it then!  Then it was off home via the Sushi Place to get sushi for my lunch and then home and working on some jobs around the house…it was such a nice night we had dinner outside on the back deck!

Yesterday we headed up to Manukau and then to the libary!  David just loves and really looks forward to going to the libary each week!  Then home and some water play and filling up the large clam shells with water for playing in after nap time.  I then spent the afternoon scrapping and then another lovely dinner outside on the deck after David had a blast in the water!

Good luck to everyone who has entered the Scrappin Patch Design Team call!  Can’t wait to hear who they have chosen!

Big hugs to Lisa who isn’t feeling the best at all at the moment…Love ya babe!  Making some dinners this afternoon for her husband to pick up for some of their meals this week!

I also got out some fejoa puree of the freezer and going to make some fejoa and ginger loaves!

Yay, all but about 6 I have sent out all our Christmas Cards!  Still haven’t put up our Christmas Tree yet but want to get that all done before I head down to Queenstown!
